Euro-Modell 2011 in Ried / Austria
October 08/09, 2011

Every two years there is a wonderful model show held in Ried, Austria. Me and my wife attended this show last weekend and again were blown away by the warm-hearted atmosphere, the friendly people there, most impressive models on show and again by a perfect organisation.
Despite a four hour drive on the Autobahn from Germany to Austria and the weather changing from bright sunshine to heavy rain in a couple of minutes over and over we started to get our exhibition table ready immediately after arriving on Friday evening. This has been the very first public show of my recently finished Revell 1/32 scale Junkers Ju 88 A-1 and I have to confess that I was very nervous about my kit getting damaged on the trip or when placed on our table. But fortunately nothing happened.
My wife barely managed to get her 1/48 scale F4U-5 Corsair ready for the show. This aircraft model looks great in its white / grey Marines colour scheme!
Our friend Olli had his 1/48 scale Predator from Skunkmodels with him, accompanied by a nice base plate showing three tiny Japanese motorcycles with jet pilots driving in formation.
But now, let´s have a selection of pictures I did of this show:
To my surprise there have been the first test shot parts of Revell´s coming London Bus on show. My sincere thanks to Guido Kehder for bringing them with him to the model show and allowing me to take some pictures! I am not really in buses but this one looks very attractive and for its size will be reasonably priced.
A heartfelt "Thank You" to G. Schachinger and the wonderful team of Modellbaufreunde Ried for once again having organized a great show for modellers from all over Europe! We can´t wait for the next one in two years!
